Yikes, Need to Apply the Brakes!

Monday, October 10th, 2011

It’s been sometime since I’ve updated this blog.  We are desperately trying to get ready for winter, including some substantial fencing and re-fencing.  I’ve gotten a job on the road construction crew that was working in front of our place and am now working full time for them.

We’ve still got to wean the babies and halterbreak two more.  We’ve got horses for sale that need to get advertised and some that we need to prepare for a final farewell.  The barn to finish, straw to find and ….yada, yada, yada.

We’ve got pictures coming from the Carousel Ridge Young Horse Show and will have more shortly, as we update the baby pictures with them as weanlings.  The Mane Event in Chilliwack is in two weeks, so we’ll be off to that.

We have 11 horses/ponies for sale and are in the process of getting them on the website and horse classified sites and talking to trainers.

But right now the sun is shining, the day is wasting and I can’t be tied to the computer any longer

Farewell, dear friend

On Wednesday, October 5th, Arno Leblic of Horse Sense Herbs, died suddenly from a massive heart attack.  He was 56.  He leaves behind his Birgitte, wife of 20 years (their anniversary would have been yesterday) and two teen age sons.

We became friends with Arno Leblic over the trade show years.  He has been a constant source of encouragement and sage advice.  We’ve used his herbs with great success.  We will miss him.
