The Scoop on PURE OXYGEN™

The more I use this product, the more amazed I become at it's power and effectiveness. When we started with the inventor, Dave Hachey, we used the product because it came with the machines, but in order to sell it, I had to know more about it; then the teacher in me came out. After years as a Grade Five teacher, I needed to be able to put words around complicated chemistry in order to explain it to myself in a simpler way. If I have made a glaring error, or, if I'm wrong, I'd sure appreciate an e-mail with feedback for my own learning.

So, here we go with a little background plus my understanding of accelerated hydrogen peroxide.

Basically, there are three recognized levels of cleaning; sanitization, disinfection, and sterilization. To achieve one of these levels, a substance (usually a powerful chemical) comes in contact with organic matter (dirt, fungus, virus, bacteria). Upon contact, a chemical reaction occurs, whereby pure oxygen is produced. The amount of pure oxygen and the time of exposure determines the cleaning level.

Cleaning power is measured in "logs", or exponentials of base 9. For example, a cleaner that boasts 93% cleaning efficiency is 1 log, whereas a cleaner with 99% effectiveness is 2 log and so on. PURE OXYGEN is a 6 log cleaner (99.9999%) effective against bacteria, viruses and fungus, with NO volatile organic compounds (VOCS, bad for you). It is the first and ONLY cleaner/disinfectant in its class to win an environmental choice award.

The technology behind PURE OXYGEN utilizes accelerated or stabilized molecules of hydrogen peroxide. H2O2 is found in the earth's atmosphere. However, the second O molecule is a free radical and therefore not stable. It will readily attach itself to anything else, most commonly dust particles; leaving H20 which falls as rain.

This is why rainwater is so much better for plants than tap water. And Grandma always said, "wash your hair with rainwater" for a shiny softness. That's the feel left on your animal's coat. It's that extra O molecule in rainwater that makes the difference.

The technology process used to make PURE OXYGEN has found a way to stabilize the free radical extra O molecule and accelerate its' effectiveness.

When you use PURE OXYGEN as a disinfectant/cleaner, you are already coming at the organic material with Pure O2, thereby controlling the amount applied and the duration of exposure to ensure the desired level of cleaning.

For deep disinfection or treating fungal or bacterial yuck, a 5 minute exposure time is recommended. This blows all of our other commonly used disinfectants such as Virkon, Hibitane and Betadine soap or solution out of the water.

PURE OXYGEN is only a .5% solution compared with 3% over the counter, 6% hair products, or 28% food grade hydrogen peroxide. I've poured it directly into badly infected wounds and incurred no cellular or tissue damage AND reducing the healing time required. I've also gotten rid of two serious cases of rain rot with only 2 rounds of spot applications. For anyone who has ever fought rain rot, you can appreciate just how amazing this is. I now "Anivac" my stalls at shows to ensure I don't bring anything home to the mares and foals.
